Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing. Most of them have been at the school since kindergarten and our school is special because we can really develop a close relationship with each individual student as they grow up.

As a school with a bilingual program, students are immersed in rigorous instruction in both English and Spanish.

There are numerous benefits to being bilingual, and students work very hard to access the curriculum despite it being a challenge. We have both Spanish-dominant and English-dominant speakers, which means that one hundred percent of our students are second language learners.

My Project

Our students would benefit from some restocking in items that they will use throughout the year! The post-its will allow us to co-create anchor charts where students will see their thinking in a variety of ways. Students will look back at the notes and use one another as a resources. The writing utensils will help make their work stand out from the rest!

These supplies will help reignite the excitement of learning in the classroom and limit the time on screen!

We want the students to have opportunities outside of the computer to share their work and make our classroom a successful learning environment.
