My Students

My students are ready and eager to learn. We are a Title I school with 100% of the students receiving free or reduced-price lunch. Our students come from a rural community with parents who want them to succeed and the best for them in life. My students are in first grade.

We enjoy learning in a nontraditional environment and using technology to explore the world around us.

My students are excited and love the opportunity to explore the world around them. They have been learning to work collaboratively and how to find solutions to real-world problems.

My Project

It's the little things that keep our classroom running smoothly. The things that make a difference between a classroom where students are engaged and learning versus a chaotic classroom. In our classroom, we like to have everything in its place. Many of my students have learning disabilities and struggle with ADHD. Having order and organization, helps these students learn coping skills and life skills that will help them beyond the classroom.

This project is to help us keep our room organized and flowing well.

We need laminating pouches, dry erase pockets, and hanging file organizers to keep our supplies close at hand. We need hot glue sticks to hang things on the walls and to hang student work in the hallway.

Playdough letter cut outs will add a fun new activity in our word work centers.

Thank you for considering a donation to our classroom! My students mean the world to me and I am always looking for ways to keep them engaged and learning. They have learned so much this year. As one student told me, "I can really read! I know what the words say now."
