Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As the world has gone under quarantine, our students are home, we are home and the challenge of teaching and learning remotely is becoming more difficult. Thanks to DonorsChoose I will be receiving much needed supplies for my students and I am so grateful. I find myself in need of some supplies now to continue teaching from afar.

Teachers need teaching materials that are beyond our reach due to schools being closed.

I have a few markers and crayons but to be a more effective teacher I need other materials.

My Project

I find myself needing materials to create a classroom at home to better facilitate the teaching of my students. A magnetic easel and magnetic letters would help with demonstrations for word study. The chart paper, sentence strips, and pocket charts will help me set up a classroom environment to help teach reading, writing, and math.

Teachers need supplies too!

When we left our classrooms behind we also left behind materials used to help teach our students. I'm finding it difficult to get my meaning across without more tangible materials. I am transforming a small area in my room to create a functional classroom environment and need your help to bring it to life.
