My Project

The novels and visuals I am requesting are for my Freshmen and Sophomore students to help create a love for classic literature. I plan to use the Shakespeare plays to instill a love for the language, and creation of language by William Shakespeare, that will also encourage the transfer of the meaning of his writing to today's teenagers. The relationship between what they see is "old" and how it is as relevant today as it has ever been. Classic novels have been left behind to make way for the new young adult novels, and I believe there is still a place in our high school ELA curriculum to share and experience some of these wonderful stories.
