Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Spanish 2 learners that are ready and eager to learn. They love to work in groups and work well with each other. Because of this, I insist that my students work together to ask each other questions that they may be shy to ask me. Some students have some Spanish background at home and they always love helping their non native classmates with their work too. I enjoy working with these students because they are very smart and I know they can take challenges well.

My Project

By donating to this project, you are helping student learn the target language (Spanish). My goal is to engage all students and read together as a class. With these books, I will have separate activities that follow the book. Instead of sticking to the textbook, I want to expose my students to useful Spanish that they can relate to their lives. These books will also be useful for my future classes, with them I can have students work in groups, think-pair-share about what they read. And since many of my students speak some Spanish, they will be able to help the rest of their classmates.
