I work at a Title I school. That means that more than 50% of our families are low income. The families are working hard to provide for their families, but they struggle to make ends meet.
At our Title I schools, we have all day kindergarten.
We have a reading small group time when the students will be able to use these materials. During this guided small group time the students work on Tablets accessing a reading and math program provided though our District. It is important to have headphones for the students to use so they don't disrupt other students work.
My Project
During COVID it is vital that each student has their own headphones. This will give us a class set so they won't need to share. Each student will be able to put the own headphones in a personal basket to store and use each day with their tablet work during our class reading small group time. Kindergarteners seem to break and damage headphones often. This happens quit often through out the school year. This then slows learning down while I have to find or buy more headphones for several students.
