Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our 4th grade class really benefits from having the text in front of them while we are doing read alouds. This allows them to be more engaged, closely follow along and take notes as we read. We would like to start the book, Save Me a Seat by Gita Varadarajan and Sarah Weeks, with our class. This is a great text that allows students to work on theme and perspective, important parts of the 4th grade curriculum. We appreciate any small donation that you can make!

At the end of our reading of the text we will anticipate the students will reach our desired goal, of being able to understand perspective as they work through their literary essay unit.
