My Students

Learning history can be boring, but Magic Tree House books bring adventure to life. These books teach children about past events as told through the many adventures of Jack and Annie.

I teach intensive reading to students in the six to eighth grade.

We live in a small town and accessing the library is not always easy. Lack of transportation makes it hard for students to get there. Although there is a school library many times the books that they like are not available or they are unable to check out books for various reasons.

My Project

Many of my students have not developed a love for reading. I have acquired many books for my classroom library that are at many different levels. Expanding the classroom library will invite students to explore and want to read more. Students will also be learning about science and history through these books. Having a shelf to put these books in will make it more appealing and easier to see what books are available to them.

When the books are out instead of in a bin, students are more likely to want to read them.

I want to be able to expose them to as many genres of books as possible. My classroom library grows every year. I would like to share this love of books with my students as well.
