Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This is my first year teaching and I was put in a class full of the greatest students on earth. They are 4th grade special education children who are learning the English language and who are very eager to learn. They are very inquisitive, full of laughs, and just genuinely curious.

My Project

Help! My students are in need of our own classroom library. Right now, we are borrowing the library from the class next door because that class is learning fully remotely. My entire class was allowed to come to school all five days, but each classroom has a specific capacity and we are above that capacity. As a result, we had to split into two classrooms. There are two teachers so each half now has a main teacher.

I am a first year teacher and was put into a classroom with books that are too high for my students.

These children are 4th grade English Language Learners who are very eager to learn. They need a low leveled library to help them fall in love with reading.
