Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have had the opportunity to teach in various inner cities for the last four years. I have had the honor of watching underprivileged children flourish through consistent love and support from their educators. I want to use my role within my students life to motivate them to love learning and to achieve any goal they may set for themselves.

Within the classroom, our goal is to foster a positive, encouraging, safe environment for all who enter.

We want to be respectful and caring to each other as well as focus on lifting each other up throughout our learning. We want to build strong relationships in order to create an engaging classroom.

My Project

Students will have access to various age appropriate/diverse literature that will enable them to grow a passion for reading. I have chosen classic stories as well as diverse character book series that will allow students to learn, relate & grow within their learning.

I want to create a comfortable & fun space for my students to read.

I have include comfortable seating & a rug that will make my students feel welcomed when the enter the classroom. It will give them a fun area to get lost in a book! I want to encourage them to life long learners & one of the greatest ways to do that is through literature!
