This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are all special needs students. This is typically their first experience at school. I want to make sure they enter a classroom that has books, so I can teach them how to hold a book, pre-readings skills and early literacy.

My goal is to expose my students to the wonderful world of reading, by providing books to read in centers.

We will also use the books as read alouds.

My students are special because they all have special needs. They need extra support, guidance and exposure to life skills such as holding a book, doing a picture walk and learning how to read.
