Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This group of learners is a unique group of little people! Many of these students are immigrants or children born to immigrant parents. They all have a story to share and want nothing more than to strengthen their education for themselves and for their families. The school they attend focuses heavily on developing both English and Spanish through all the subjects they learn.

Languages are a beautiful concept to develop.

These students are committed young individuals who aim to move forward in their education and strengthen who they are as academics, as well as individuals. Their personalities are unique and captivating enough to make every day an enjoyable and rewarding experience!

My Project

A diverse and bilingual library goes hand in hand with a diverse population of students. The materials we humbly seek are to promote the growth of our students. We want them to feel free to look for books and to know they have many options in terms of what they want to read.

We always tell our students to put themselves in the book.

To become a character and immerse themselves into a world entirely different than their own, or one that's almost identical. Making connections and using literacy skills with books they read for themselves is our primary objective. We aim for them to become self-starters, and self-sufficient, and to be in charge of their own learning in English & Spanish.
