My Project

Every year in 3rd Grade we read a class book called "Because of Winn Dixie." Over the years our class book set is falling apart daily.

The classic, award-winning "Because of Winn Dixie" is a must for our third-graders at Jasper R-V.

Everyone in the school knows this book is always read at the end of the year followed by a Winn-Dixie Party. The party is modeled after the one towards the end of the book.

We learn lessons of friendship through Opal and Gloria Dump, and forgiveness through Opal and the Dewberry Brothers. Most of all we learn about companionship and trust between Opal and Winn Dixie. Everything happens "Because of Winn Dixie" that summer. Please help me get a new set of these books so that the future 3rd graders can experience this amazing story.
