Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an enthusiastic group of children who come from a variety of socioeconomic situations and special needs. Students often bring issues from home into school which affects their learning. My classroom is a safe environment where students can work with each other to fulfill their potential.

What makes my students unique is their individual backgrounds and experiences that they bring to the classroom.

They require intense small group and independent instruction to heighten their learning experience. I intend to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all students to not only increase their understanding and retention of academic content, but to also increase their engagement in school.

My Project

Chromebooks will be used everyday in my classroom! Students can complete mathematics, reading, science, and social studies lessons. They will research topics and then write about what they researched. In addition, there are some students with special needs who require alternate ways to process information and what better way than technology?

Technology closes achievement gaps!

Some of my students do not have access to the internet once they're home. I would love to provide my students with access to the internet and technology right in their classroom. Research has proven that technology engages students and closes achievement gaps. Let's continue to work together and expose our future to technology!
