This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kindergarten class is full of eager learners. They are just so curious about the classroom and ready to soak up every detail they can, so they can share it with their families. My students are enthusiastic, smart, and eager to learn but most importantly they have come into kindergarten with a huge heart and ready to share their love of learning with the world! Kindergarten marks the beginning of education, the very first taste of school and this group of children are ready to begin their journey with me and experience education in a positive and vibrant way. I am thrilled to be their teacher and can’t wait to create new experiences with them.

My Project

Chromebooks would better prepare my students for the real world. Keyboards are nonexistent in their world. If they can not touch a screen, it becomes a foreign object and not useful. However, my students are so eager to learn that Chromebooks would be a fun and very important skill to learn at an early age. My students will be able to play educational games using a keyboard and mouse. Students will have practice using the Chromebooks therefore completing diagnostic assessments will no longer be a task but a fun activity! I know these materials in my classroom will help each child become fluent in reading and more importantly create self-confidence as they master new skills!
