This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
With Chromebooks for every student in my classroom, I will be able to update my curriculum to help students be more civic-minded. With access to technology, they will be able to conduct research and learn more about ways they can be change-makers.
My students are energetic, thoughtful, creative, and care deeply about social justice and action.
My school serves a diverse community of learners. We strive for racial, social, economic, and academic diversity. We are committed to preparing students to be civic-minded and to be the change they want to see in the world.
We are a member of the EL Education network of schools that believes that students learn best when they are immersed in rich, engaging activities that are embedded into the curriculum.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
