My Students

I have an amazing group of 2nd graders. A large percentage of my students qualify for free/reduced price lunch. They are an eclectic mix of students, but they blend well together. I haven't taught a class this large in many years, but with budget cuts come larger class sizes. It becomes more difficult to meet everyone's needs when you have a larger class.

DonorsChoose helps to provide extra classroom supplies for my students to use.

We are an even mix of boys and girls with varied backgrounds.

My Project

Having Chromebooks in the classroom will help my students gain access to the internet right at their desks. They can research topics and be active participants in their learning.

The Chromebooks offer a portability that we just don't have with regular PCs.

We are inching closer to our goal of being a 1:1 classroom, but still have a ways to go. Adding 2 additional Chromebooks will put us at around a 2:1 ratio in my classroom.

Students are equipped with their own email accounts as well as access to Google Classrooms through our district. Chromebooks are a game changer in my classroom.
