Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Two and a half years ago, the school district provided students in the Philadelphia School District with Chromebooks. This initiative helped students continue learning while at home for a year and a half. Since then, many Chromebooks have broken, gone missing, or been stolen. My project will help my third graders with their math skills and provide access to technology for my yearbook club.

During this year and a half of learning virtually, many students developed a gap in skills.

To help close this gap, we use intervention programs. Many of my students do not have a working Chromebook. For this project, I would like to have three computers that I can use at stations during blended learning.

My yearbook club will use these Chromebooks in our after-school club to upload and edit photos. They will also use the yearbook software to design the pages.
