My Project
The Cultural Diversity through Media Arts course is an engaging and interactive class that allows students to explore culture in Television and Film. Projects include using various media technology tools including microphones for recording, cameras for filming, and photography to create short film projects such as PSA, skits, and music videos. To complete this Media learning experience it's imperative that students have laptops to conduct research, use websites and apps such as google suite to plan, outline, and organize their ideas. Additionally, students learn to use coding programs and software such as Code.org, Tynker, and CodeSpark to create games, animations, music, and digital graphics. They are also developing and learning how to use search engines and keyboarding skills. For assessments, I utilize interactive types of assessments like Quiziz and Kahoot which also require a computer device to access. At the moment students have to take turns using laptops.
With your donation, all of my students can develop their coding, typing, and digital skills.
Your donation will also support students with the development of their literacy skills. Students will be able to use these chromebooks to access Google Suite programs such as Google Docs and Google Forms to write outlines, and scripts, and to compose or record video reflections based on their learning experiences.
