My Students

My 5th-grade students are wonderful and inquisitive. They enter the classroom ready to learn and explore. They are bright and curious learners. They love to read independently, with partners and enjoy read- alouds. They also enjoy working with technology. During ELA, I see the students engaged and are ready and willing to discuss their finding with their partners in their book clubs. This year my students will refine, and grow their skills in reading and writing. They will also learn to be more independent in their learning.

Technology is revolutionizing how today's students learn and think about learning at every stage.

In today's world, social media and technology are changing the way teachers teach and students learn!

My students feel empowered when they use technology in our classroom. They know how to use Google Classroom, QR codes, create interactive polls, research, and are just starting to learn how to create multimedia presentations and podcasts.

However, we are unable to use any of these amazing resources because we do not have any technology in our classroom!

My Project

Chromebooks in the classroom can be extremely beneficial to diverse learners. One of the many goals of technology in the classroom is to provide students with a fun and exciting learning environment. The use of technology not only prepares our students for the real world, but also helps to gain the students' interest in the subject while promoting learning.

In today's world, technology is all around us.

Some of my students do not have the opportunity to use technology in their everyday lives. Our school lacks the technology my students need to succeed! My students will use the 3 requested Chromebooks to enhance their reading fluency, writing responses, and comprehension, as well as, their math skills. In addition, we will work on coding. They will be able to engage in differentiated activities to support their individual learning. The Chromebooks provide educational activities for students of varying abilities. The opportunities to support their education are endless with a number of educational apps and websites. There are numerous educational tools technology provides.
