Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In today's fast paced world of technological advances, students need to be prepared for college, career and the future. My students live in an ever changing world. They need to be able to keep up with all the change around them. Computers offer a way to expand their horizons.

My students are an ethnically diverse group of fifth graders.

They live in a large urban area. They attend a Public Elementary School in N.Y. They are bright and inquisitive. They enjoy learning when it is enhanced via technology. They enjoy art, music and expressing themselves.

My Project

Google Chromebooks in the classroom would offer such a wide variety of learning experiences and opportunities. Many of my students do not have computers available to them at home. If we had Chromebooks in our classroom, they would be able to expand their horizons and increase their love of learning. For these kids to have access to laptops for Science, Social Studies, Math and Literacy, they would soar. They will have the chance to experience a whole world that goes beyond their neighborhood. Education would be far more meaningful for them.

Please give my kids the chance to experience what many private schools and suburban school districts experience.

Help them go beyond the classroom. Give them the chance today, to compete in the world tomorrow.
