My Students

Every morning we start of the day with a chant. "We are smart, we are good readers, we are good at math, we can do hard things, and we can be anything we want to be!" This sets a positive tone for the rest of the day and reminds us what we are capable of when we think positive!

I have a wonderful group of students with varying skill sets and levels of learning.

Each student is an individual, and therefore have individual needs. Some students excel in math and need to be challenged, while other students may need a little extra help to succeed.

My Project

With these different needs in mind, it can seem daunting to provide each student with the leveled work that will meet their specific needs. A classroom chrome book would allow students to receive extra help or be challenged by using adaptive learning platforms such as front row. These adaptive learning platforms give students sample math problems. Then, using the data collected, it provides math practice that is perfectly leveled for the student. It is an amazing technology that will definitely make a difference.

Assuming that the chrome book lasts at least five years, it would provide adaptive learning for over 150 students!

That is 150 students who will no longer be bored or struggling. 150 students who can succeed with math practice that fits their needs!
