My Students

Most of my students do not have access to computers in their home. This harsh fact makes success in my college-prep English course extremely difficult.

I teach 11th grade English at a college-prep high school the requires that all students follow a course of study that leads to a university or college.

However, many of the students in my classes are not prepared for the rigors of this level of academic challenge. I believe it is my task to prepare them. In addition, a majority of my students live below the designated poverty line. My students lack access to technology that can be used for completing essay and research papers. My students really try the best they can as they move towards college. But, they need a little help.

My Project

My students need an ASUS Chromebook laptop and an console license so they will be better able to complete required writing tasks that require the use of technology not available in their homes. This ASUS Chromebook laptop will assist my students' journey towards college, and to meet the college-prep English Language Arts standards.

I know that times are tough, but this Chromebook technology (laptop) will provide greatly needed aid on their road to college.
