My Students

My school is a Title I school. Over 90 percent of our student population are receiving free or reduced-price lunch, and are limited in their life experiences due to low social economical backgrounds.

Many of my students have challenging situations at home with their personal lives and have emotional challenges but that will not stop them from learning to excel at school.

We celebrate little gains and wins each day.

My students are very curious and energetic second graders.

Even though the students have many needs, they are eager to learn as much as possible in all areas. They seek out activities that are authentic and enriching. My students are happy to come to school every day looking to explore their world.

My Project

My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education to spark an interest in reading. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interest of my students. Students in my classroom like to read via an application called, "MyOn" and "i-Ready". However, the desktops we have in our classroom are very old and sometimes they freeze.

By having the latest Chromebook, students will be able to avoid all these problems and focus on increasing their learning!

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.

Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether their materials are going to work or not. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
