My Students

My students are in 2nd grade, and all have a learning disability. My students are diverse in many ways, including ethnically and economically. My students are all unique in their own ways, and they make my job fun and enjoyable.

"If a child cannot learn in the way we teach, we should teach in the way the child can learn." -Dr. Lovaas.

This statement from Dr. Lovaas expresses my teaching philosophy. I aim to make my classroom a fun and positive learning environment for my students. I recognize that they all learn in different ways, and it is my job as an educator to help teach them in those different ways. I aim to help meet their educational and behavioral needs.

My Project

I have 10 students in my Special Education classroom who will be taking the state test for the first time this year. In preparation for this test, this Chromebook will help them become familiar with how to use a laptop in order to navigate the test. In addition, this laptop will be used throughout the school year during centers Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies to do research as well as for typing assignments. In addition, it will also be used during independent learning centers. The Chromebook will provide access to reinforcement and educational videos for all of my students.
