Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are an inner city school located in Queens, NY. About 1/3 of my students are homeless or live in overcrowded apartments. Ninety-four percent of my students are Hispanic. The majority are from families that have immigrated to New York. Many of their parents do not speak English and have trouble assisting their children with homework. In spite of the challenges they face everyday. These kids always have smiles on their faces because they love to be in school and learn.

From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom, I want to be able to make their learning experience comfortable and fun.

Learning should be a great experience that we should have good memories of. I want to be the one to make these great memories for them.

My Project

These have been really hard times for us. I am desperate to have this laptop for my classroom so I am able to communicate with my students. Communication is key. Now with everything going on, my kids (students) will need me more than ever. To be honest the one that I had was very old and it decided not to work anymore.

This laptop will help me teach and stay in touch with my kids.

This is so important to me. They need to learn and to expand their minds .I am proud that I get to be the one to do it.

Hopefully, you can be the one to help me teach my children. We all can enhance their knowledge. I always tell them... "We work as a team". Please help me??? I would really appreciate it. Anything will help. Thank you in advance if you do.
