My Students

We are an in-person diverse classroom with English language learners, special education students, and general education students! I have 65 bundles of joy I am blessed to have in my class (we are departmentalized so I service two classes). Their love of learning is evident when they come to school every day!

My Project

Now that our school is in-person, I would love to build a positive community by reading Wonder by RJ Palacio. There are so many lessons about empathy, compassion, and kindness in this story that would cultivate fruitful discourse between the students. I would love for each student to have a copy of Wonder. It has been a long time since many students have been in a classroom holding a physical book in their hand. What better treat than to return to the classroom with their own copies of Wonder ready for them to dive right into.
