My Students

My students are brand new to elementary school. This year is an exciting time for them to learn to read, write, count, add, work with others, and so much more!! It is a year full of growth and fun!

Kindergarteners come to school with excitement and an immense readiness to learn!

They are constantly surprising me with all they know, share and accomplish! I want to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for every student. My students come from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. I want to make sure they all feel represented, supported and comfortable in our classroom.

My Project

My students have been working hard to build their writing stamina and share their stories during writing workshop. They love getting to choose their own seats and topics during this time but are ready for more.

I want to continue to give my students more choices so they can take charge of their learning.

My students want more pillows to make our low seating choices more comfortable for them. I also want to get an additional paper tray so I can put out more choices for the kind of paper they use during writing. We also need more baskets to organize our library so they can pick out the books they would like to read.
