My Students

Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with many receiving free lunch. This is a Title 1 school where many students are receiving extra help with Math and Reading to try to get them close to where they should be for their grade.

These 8-9 year olds are very eager to learn but just don't always know how.

They are full of life and excitement! School is the place where they can go to feel safe during the day.

My Project

Have you ever been somewhere and the seating is extremely uncomfortable? This is the current situation in our classroom. I am looking to create a classroom environment like a coffeehouse or restaurant that allows students to pick a learning spot that is most comfortable to them.

Students want to have a choice in how and where they learn!

This can easily be done by having multiple different options for seating. Many of my students could be more successful in school if they weren't confined to the standard uncomfortable chair. Funding for this project of 3 WOBBLE chairs will help give my students the freedom that they need and are looking for.
