My Project

What I love about my students is their diverse backgrounds. Being in an all inclusive school, we celebrate, discuss and honor all holidays throughout the year. It is important our students feel like they can share important celebrations with their peers and teachers. Lunar New Year is another celebration that we teach in school. I thought it would be a great opportunity to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit with my firsties! The picture frames will give my students an opportunity to complete a lunar new year craftivity, and the banners and the year of the rabbit lucky charms will be used to decorate our classroom as part of our celebration. The read alouds will help give some background information on it's significance and how people celebrate around the world!
