My Project

My students are amazing! They come in excited about learning and trying new things. The little ones are the highlight of my day, because everything is new to them. I want them to experience as much about the world as they can from within our classroom, and celebrating the Chinese New Year will be a fantastic way to try something new.

Almost 200 kindergarten, first, and second grade students will learn about and celebrate the Chinese New Year through books, games, and a Dragon Parade filled with monkey drums, finger cymbals, paper dragons, lanterns, and fans.

We will bring in the Year of The Rabbit with a celebration of learning and trying new things.

Celebrate Black teachers and kids! This project supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of students are Black.
