My Project

I teach 5th-grade gifted students, and the classroom that we are in has a tile floor. In my classroom, I do not require my students to sit at their desks all day. I love for them to have the freedom to move about and work wherever they want to. In our area of the south, we experience numerous tornadoes and severe storms. These storms impact them emotionally. They become fearful and over concerned about their family and how safe they feel in school.

With new carpets, the students do not have to work, create projects, or play chess on a cold floor.

The carpets will provide a cozy atmosphere and will help make them feel more secure in their school setting.

My goal for this particular project is to allow my students the freedom to work, feel secure, and enjoy their classroom environment.
