Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach in a blended preschool classroom which consists of children with diverse disabilities. There are three, four, and five-year-old children that come from low-income families. The disabilities range from autism, ADHD, developmental delay, and speech impairment.

Recently, my students have been discussing science related topics such as tornadoes, insects, dinosaurs, leaves, and even the wind! Outside, I have observed them dig up soil, use tree branches, and dump wood chips in puddles of water. With no budget money to spend for the school year for my children with special needs, I ask you for help.

With your help, my students will be able to explore what a tornado looks like, use hands-on crystals to observe insects, complete dinosaur floor puzzles, observe the weather into detail and much, much more! Through the use of these materials, my students will feel successful and enthusiastic as they explore the Science Center.

Your donation will help current and future preschool students with special needs. You will help bring smiles and laughter as they use these materials in our classroom. Please help.
