My Students

My students are in a special needs CDC Moderate class and faces many challenges and need auditory and visual technology to support their Individual Educational Plans.

My student are precious and try hard to learn.

All students come from socially economically disadvantaged families. My students are taught in a self-contained classroom with work designed to meet their individual special needs. My students have moderate to severe intellectual disabilities, specific learning disabilities, physical disabilities, speech and language disabilities and combinations of other physical and mental disorders. The most important information is my students are determined to work their hardest regardless to what their disabilities may be. My students have a teacher that believes in them. With your help my students can overcome some of their obstacles.

My Project

I am requesting a voice recorder so that student may record and listen to their own voices. Student may also listen to voices of other students, parents and familiar adults in the classroom with positive forms of communication. Students will use the digital camera to take pictures of themselves, the classroom, at recess and on field trips to assist them with recognition skills, to determine gender and to compare and contrast likes and dislikes. The printer will provide student with color rich print to recognize colors, pictures and provide color visual aids.

Donor support will provide a short term and long term benefit to the children in my classroom with print rich technology.

The camera, printer and recorder will provide some life-long consequences how students write, communicate both academic and social needs. My students have learning styles that depends on a visual and audio presence. This equipment will help my student improve their general concepts of communication and help meet their state and national standards.
