Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work with the most amazing age group, Pre-K. Most of my students are 4 years old while some are still 3 turning 4. Our school is Title I and most students come from homes that are low income or poverty. My students come to school everyday with a smile on their face with an eagerness to learn and grow. They need an environment where their imaginations can run free and they can explore new things and have new experiences.

My Project

In Pre-K we would like to give our students every opportunity to learn through play. Play dough mats, Write the Letter center and puzzles would help to expose students to letter recognition, beginning sounds and early literacy.

The Learning Letter Activity Center is one of the many resources that would give each child the opportunity to have that hands-on experience with the letter recognition, fine motor skills and writing.

The Read and Relax Comfy couch will give students a quite, cozy space to read and relax. Alphabet Sounds Picture Puzzles are a wonderful way to engage students while they are being exposed to letter sound recognition. These center activities will enhance my students learning experiences in Pre-K.
