My 4th grade class will never make geography mistakes with your help! (No, the President does not live above Oregon.)

I have an amazing, diverse class of children. They are very proud of their cultures and they enjoy sharing where they are from. This year I have students from China, Nigeria, Panama, Mexico, and Russia. They want to show the class where they are from on the map and its relation to where we live now. Our classroom really needs a new pull down map. The one we have now is out of date and ripped. My bright students would really appreciate your help in adding something special to our classroom.

We are currently working on a project using the five themes of geography to learn about the geography of New York State. As I was teaching I realized that I constantly want to reference the map to show the locations of different places. The pull down map in our room is no longer working properly, the map ripped and will not pull down. I love teaching using a large map and the children love coming up to the map to find different places. They love showing off where they or their parents are from. Please help my classroom to get a new pull down map. It is a great visual tool to help all types of learners!!

With your help my students will better understand where places are in this big world. In any subject a map can be a useful tool. This map will help make my lessons inspirational to my students. I can imagine them finding the places that they will want to travel to when they get older!
