Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a bunch of creative and resilient humans. I love their unique desire to learn and improve their daily school experiences. No matter what is happening in their lives, they find the courage and stamina to get up every day and come to school, and I want to celebrate that. It is inspiring that they come to school daily with a smile and an appetite to discover and learn new things. I am requesting a few items to support the creation of lunch bunch time together. Many students dislike going outside for recess or want a quieter space to enjoy their meals. I aim to provide a space where they will listen to calming music, engage in mindfulness activities, and engage in healthy activities and conversations that will support their interest and curiosity for others. I want to provide a space free for them to use in a productive way and with enjoyable activities they can do to enjoy themselves and create community. Please help me get a few items to help make the Chew and Chat Lunch Bunch a pleasant and calming space to eat and enjoy among peers.
