Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My second and third grade students often need some extra fuel at the mid point of our day to keep the momentum going. Many of my students are in need of a mid morning snack while navigating word problems or writing essays. Math, writing and reading take a lot of brain power.

Working brains make for hungry tummies.

The snacks provided through this project will help me give a bit of sustenance to the students who need something to hold them over between 7:45 breakfast and 1pm lunch. Having a ready supply of snacks in the classroom will help mitigate their hunger until hot lunches are served.
