The high school students I teach are at-risk, and many come from low-socioeconomic status. Chess is a way to get students to think outside of the box. My students like to play chess whether it is indoors, outdoors, or on the school bus, because of the challenge involved. These four requested magnetic chess sets will help my students improve their cognitive thinking skills as well as their tactical and strategic skills whether they are in the classroom, under a tree, or on the move.
Moreover, these four magnetic chess sets would benefit our chess team when we are traveling on the bus to and from chess competitions, as the pieces are magnetic and would not fall or roll off the board when we are in motion.
