My Project
Introducing Chess for Success, a unique program that blends the strategic thinking of chess with the practical skills of financial literacy.
Our vision is to empower young minds with the tools they need to navigate the complex world of money and make informed financial choices.
Imagine a chess club where every move counts, not just on the board, but in real-life financial decisions. Our students need boards, play money, snacks, prizes like the erasers and pens in my cart, and chess gear (shirts) to "buy" with their winnings from participating in the games and lessons.
Play for Play Money: Students will compete in chess tournaments, earning play money based on their performance. This gamified approach makes learning financial concepts engaging and exciting.
Spend Wisely: The play money can be used to purchase chess equipment, snacks, chess gear (t-shirts) and even enter future tournaments. This simulates real-world spending decisions, teaching students the value of budgeting, saving, and investing.
Academic Benefits: Beyond the game, participating in Chess for Success will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. These essential abilities are invaluable in both chess and personal finance.
