This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Chemistry is an amazing science, that gives students insight into the world around them. However without some essential chemicals and lab equipment it can make this a much more challenging course. It also can lead to students being more stressed and decrease their mental health by not being able to properly grasp concepts they cant understand. My students are from Washington Heights and more than 50% of them are from low income households, that said they are all amazing and with the right opportunities can do amazing things.

By raising funds for equipment like burettes, chemicals, test tubes and rubber stoppers, we can create an engaging, interactive and learning environment.

These resources will help our students deepen their understanding of chemistry, and inspire a love for science. This hopefully can open pathways to future STEM opportunities. Your support can help us bridge the gap, ensuring all students have the tools they need to succeed.
