My Students

It is often hard to really understand the make up of matter and chemical reactions without being able to visualize and see it all happen. Help allow my students to see models of atoms, work with the different energy levels, and work through labs that allow them to produce reactions.

My students are a wonderful group of curious students.

Their families have chosen our school due to the unique teaching strategies we implement. Through hands on group activities our students will explore the world of chemistry. They will learn how different chemicals interact and how water is the universal solvent. The materials requested here will help teach the basics that are needed for my students to carry out an environmental assessment of the stream water quality in our community. This final projects inspires my students to learn the information they need to carry out the assessment.

My Project

We all have the thing in school we struggled with and were so over joyed when we were able to truly understand the concept. For may students that is the idea of chemistry. Chemistry is often hard for students to understand because it is something they can not see with their own eyes. The items requested here will help me to put the concept of the atom in the students hands as a model. It will help them to visualize what matter is made up of and help to watch the properties and reactions of different types of matter. These activities and labs will help my students to really understand the materials and help them feel more confidant with the topic of science. This confidence and understanding will lead to a real life study of the local stream water quality and research into the different chemicals we find in the water shed as pollution.
