Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My students come from a Title I school where the school is 100% free and reduced-price lunch funded and still our students push forward, beat the odds, and succeed in everyday life. Some of our students are lucky to have caring and supportive parents/guardians others rely on schools and teachers to be their foundation. With your help, we can give all students the required needs to be successful in chemistry and higher-level math by having calculators for students in use and checkout for the year.
My Project
In chemistry, we work with the smallest of particles that cannot be seen and we measure out large quantities that can only be computed using a scientific calculator. The mole is one of the most amazing units of measure to a chemist but it equals 6.02x10^23 particles and therefore in order to do the math students will need a calculator. Students will be exploring through STEAM activities all the wonders of chemistry at the atomic level with a greater appreciation for the little things in life once they truly understand what the world is made of and everything that goes into making our wants, wishes, and desires come true!
