My Students

Hello! I am a middle school Special Education teacher at my school and the Cheer Coach! I coach a team of 28 6-8th grade girls and boys, and we are a competitive and sideline cheer team.

Our school Cheer Team needs your help!

We are in need of cheer shoes and bags for our team. We are a completely self funded program and do not allow for money to be a barrier for any of our members. Any help that you could offer to help support our cheerleaders in reaching their goal would be greatly appreciated!

My Project

Stunting is an integral part of cheerleading, and it can be really difficult to stunt in nonathletic shoes. The bases, who hold the feet of the flyer, can have bruises or cuts on their hand if their flyers are not wearing the right kind of shoe. It is also very hard to do jumps if you are not wearing cheer shoes.

Currently most members of the team do not have a separate bag for their cheer supplies.

They are putting everything into their main school backpack, and struggling to fit everything. If they were able to have a separate bag, they could fit everything they needed to easily.
