Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our student leaders plan and create events that help their peers feel good about coming to school, but we need a major refresh of supplies after a full year of activities last school year. Our leaders learn to work together and plan events from start to finish. They learn to create schedules, balance budgets, get the word out, and make sure that everyone knows their tasks the day of the event. Our leaders will be brainstorming and documenting their ideas on post it notes and chart paper. They’ll use their planning notebooks to take notes and stay organized. We’ll do some of this work digitally, but it’s been successful to document on paper and put all the posters up around our classroom!
