Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are energetic, kind and enthusiastic fourth graders. They are always eager to learn! Majority of my students come from low-income household’s. Our classroom is our second home.

My goal for this project is to make our classroom a functional and inviting environment.

The donations requested in this project include flexible seating, chargers, class decor and functionality.

Flexible seating will allow students to take charge in their learning and select the seating that works best for them. Students will be able to choose from stools, chairs or sitting on a rug.

I also plan on setting up an iPad charging station for students. Students received chargers for their iPad when they were in Kindergarten and were expected to use those until their senior year. However many students have either broken or lost their chargers and this has become a problem in our every day activities. We use iPad regularly throughout the day and many students cannot use them due to having low battery. By providing a charging station students will have access to chargers daily and will be able to engage in their learning.

These donations will help make our second home functional and inviting.
