Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
I teach 48 students from a highly diverse population, about 30 of them are ELL students and most of them have not had any formal schooling. 83% of our students are on a free or reduced-price lunch program. The students have limited resources at home; some even live in shelter homes or with extended family members. All of my students come eager to learn and the natural curiosity of exploring their world. As their kindergarten teacher, I have the greatest opportunity to influence them in their love of learning.
My Project
My classroom has been blessed with new iPads from wonderful donors, we now need an organized way to to keep them charged and running and still have a wonderful safe Kindergarten classroom. Right now we are only able to charge a few at a time because of space and outlets. Having a charging station will put all the iPads in one place and keep them in the hands of the students. The kindergartens have lessons to do weekly in math and reading if we can charge the iPads all at once it will help all the students get their weekly time on them.
