My Project

Hello everyone,

My name is Mr. Naeem, and I teach first grade at our magnet STEAM school.

We have 22 amazing first graders, many from lower-middle-class backgrounds, who, unfortunately, do not have access to personal devices for schoolwork.

Since the Pandemic, our school has been lending devices to our students to support their learning. However, all these devices are now out of warranty, and many no longer have chargers. This has become a challenge, as students cannot take the devices home, limiting their ability to complete interactive homework on I-Ready, Zearn, and other educational platforms. We also face difficulties providing targeted online lessons through Google Classroom, especially when devices run out of battery.

Although our school has provided a shared charging station, it’s used by four classes, which makes charging all devices throughout the day challenging. Most families don’t have USB-C chargers at home, nor can they afford to buy their own.

To address this, we are seeking donors to help us purchase chargers so our students can use their devices comfortably and confidently in school and at home. Access to charged devices means we can offer personalized, skill-targeted lessons that support each student’s unique needs, helping them succeed in our increasingly digital world.

We hope to purchase USB-C chargers for our students. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference.
