Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students learning computer science are developing skills like sustained focus and persistence through productive "struggle time".

This project clears obstacles and supports students' learning momentum by providing necessary tools like a bluetooth mouse for every classroom laptop.

(This is especially important if a student is disadvantaged by unfamiliarity with a MacBook trackpad – or if the trackpad on their computer was damaged by one of the 4 students who use each computer every day.)

This project also incudes more Floor Cord Cover Cord cable ramps to cover cables still exposed on the floor (a safety hazard and accessibility issue) and rechargeable AAA batteries, which power other computer peripherals.

The stools accommodate students who are more comfortable at standing desks because their bodies don't fit in those desks, or they prefer a seat with fewer distractions (away from their peers).

Other items (like the hanging organizer, pegboard tool organizing accessories, bare wood pencils, ballpoint pens, multipurpose paper, and guitar strings) help us keep class materials printed and equipment organized; supply our fabrication studio with raw materials; and support music at our school by maintaining our shared classroom guitar with supple, high-quality strings.

My students work hard – and when they feel well-equipped with the tools for success, they can stretch and grow. Thank you for your help clearing obstacles from their way!
