Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students will be creating a realistic charcoal drawing of architecture. it can be the interior or exterior of a building. They will learn to draw with grids to achieve correct proportions. They will show a wide range of values in this drawing. It will be drawn on a midtone paper and the highlights will come from the white charcoal as opposed to getting the high lights from a white paper.

This project will give them a peak into the world of applied arts like a career in architecture.

This will help them see and understand that there are career paths though visual arts that are more then just painters and sculptures.
